Pushbutton.help is a personal alert system that uses a keychain with a push button. With the pushbutton.help mobile app, the system sends text message alerts to your designated contacts.
In many emergency situations, reaching for your phone is not viable. With the pushbutton.help system a push of the button is all you need to call for help.

It will not make sense. The functions of the pushbutton.help mobile app are specific to the Push Button accessory.
Q. Can I use the Push Button accessory without the push button mobile app?
No. The Push Button accessory is a “dumb” device that does nothing but emit radio signals. The companion pushbutton.help mobile app needs to continuously listen for button presses so it must be running at all times. But you may put It to run in the background, so you can still use and run other apps, make or receive phone calls, or even turn off the phone's screen.
Q. Why is the push button accessory always on?
It is critical for the system to monitor that the push button accessory is working and connected.
Q. Why is an Internet connection required?
The app uses the Internet for authentication, send text messages and call location API among others.
Q. Do I need the phone to always be with me?
No. Your phone just needs to be in the range. The range is approximately up to 20 meters if unobstructed.
Q. Why does the app require my phone's bluetooth enabled?
The signal emitted by the Push Button accessory is bluetooth.
Q. Why does the app ask permission to use location services?
The location of the user is included with the text messages.
Q. Why does the app ask permission to use the microphone?
There is an option to record the ambient sound on clicking the Push Button accessory.
