Important Setup Notes to Amazon Fire Tablet Users

It is important that your Amazon Fire tablet stays awake and the internet connection working so that the app and buttons will work when you need them to work.

The only way to set your Amazon Fire tablet so it stays awake is to put it on Developer mode:

  1. Go to the SETTINGS area
  2. Click on DEVICE OPTIONS
  3. Triple-tap the SERIAL NUMBER option, towards the bottom of the screen. Keep tapping!
  4. The DEVELOPER OPTIONS will now be accessible.
  5. Find the option labeled STAY AWAKE. Click on it to ENABLE.

Once configured , your Fire tablet will never go to “Sleep” WHILE CHARGING.

Next, configure your Fire tablet so that its internet connection is always on:

  1. Go to the SETTINGS area
  2. Click on BATTERY
  3. Find the option labeled AUTOMATIC SMART SUSPEND and make sure the it is OFF

You also need to configure the LOCATION SERVICES:

  • Go to the SETTINGS area
  • Click on SECURITY & PRIVACY
  • Click on LOCATION-BASED SERVICES
  • Make sure that it is ON (the topmost option)
  • Click on MODE
  • Make sure that the option HIGH ACCURACY is SELECTED
